Hi All,

I'm in need of a new laptop (I have a buyer for my 12" PowerBook), and so it's MBP time (I was going to wait until Universal Photoshop, but I may not have another chance to sell). I'd hate to acquire one just before a speedbump, does anybody know if they're due for an upgrade? And any chance the 15" machines will acquire FW800?? (c'mon Apple!).

On a related note, I'm a photographer and use Photoshop extensively. Can anyone comment on the speed Photoshop CS2 runs on a G4 (1.33GHz) vs. the speed I'll get with the non-Universal version of the same Photoshop on a 2.16GHz 15" MBP?

Thanks for any help,

Chas

Just spotted that some Apple event just finished. New Nanos and all that, but no MBP speedbump. Drag.

MBP updates werent really expected. as it was Media/Music event.

I am still hoping on MBP updates before the end of the month.

Usually updates appear on a Tuesday. (although apple released the iMac on a wednesday... and preannounced iTV... gah apple is a changing.)
I free'd my mind... now it won't come back.

End of the month eh? Well, that gives me a bit more hope. I can put off my buyer that long, we'll see what comes!

Thanks for that info,

Chas
