Hello,
I have noticed this since the 10.4.7 update that the battery level of my MBP goes down by more than 15% if I let it sleep for a day or so. This wasn't the case before that when it only went down around 1% if it did.
Is it normal that the battery goes down so much while sleeping. Once the MBP's battery went so low that it wouldn't start with me connecting the charger to it. And another time when it wouldn't start, I connected the charger/adaptor and it still wouldn't start. On pressing the start button, Mac OS reported that the system had a crash (the battery level was zero and hence didn't start).
Comments on the behaviour please.
Thanks.

I noticed this fall in battery today as well. I have only just updated from a Powerbook 667. On that machine within the last year, it had the annoying habit that when I put my password in to log in from sleep, it would fire up momentarily and then revert to the password login box. To my surprise this happened on my MBP today. It then semed to freeze, and when I forced shutdown and restarted, the battery was at 89%, whereas it had been at 100% last night before sleep. Later on, when I came to put it to sleep, the action (with the lid already down and in sleep mode) of removing my USB mouse woke it up (to the extent that the pulsating light showed full on). On my powerbook, the action of removing the mouse did not seem to interfere with sleep at all. I wonder if the battery loss is in fact due to that time period between inadvertantly waking the machine from sleep with the lid down, to the MBP going to sleep again (under the settings in system preferences). Quite why I had the old problem of having to log in twice this morning I don't know. I will try to remember to remove all periferal devices before either closing the lid or putting it to sleep and see what happens. I have a 2.16 17" MBP with 1GB RAM.
