I was just wondering, do you guys think that the Merom chip would create the same heat as the current MBP? The MBP just gets really hot and I feel like waiting out for the merom just to see if it is cooler. What you guys think? k thx late

It won't be cooler. it's the exact same temperature as Yonah, but with a performace gain of anywhere from 20-30%.

Oh an by the way, this question has been posted several million times already, and the answer has been the exact same thing every single time.

If you did even the slightest bit of research you'd see that 1) this question has already been asked and answered on this forum many times and 2) the difference in thermal design power is about 10% in the upward direction (Core Duo at 31W vs Core 2 Duo at 34W).
