Hi All,

I am having hard drive issues on both my powerbook and macbook.

I have a 160 gb ata seagate in my powerbook and a 120 gb sata in my macbook.

The hard drives work fine, but when I verify the drive in disk utilities, both say they
"need repair" and the repair button in the utilities is not usable. ie, I can't click on it.

This is what the pbook message says:

1 HFS volume checked

The macbook says something about the name not valid. My question is, how do I fix these
drives, or since they seem to be working fine, do I need to?

Boot off the install disks and use disk utility to repair the drives from there.
