I've been a windows user ever since I was 5 years old, and now Im ready for some change. My Gateway 4540GZ is slated to crash again because It has only taken 3 days for a week to crash in the past few months and its been back and forth to Best Buy for the past 3 months. Im convinced that the MacBook would be an awesome change because its more portable, has more battery power than the Gateway, has a camera and a microphone, and has Core Duo technology. I have a few questions about games on the MacBook, because I was looking to get the 1.83GHz white version because Im on a budget..and Im wondering if it will be able to play Maple Story (Its a MMORPG if your not familiar) and The Sims 2. Im also intending to use bootcamp so I can go on windows too. One other thing, is it easy to upgrade the GHz and HD? Im thinking that 1.83GHz wont be enough and when I get a little more money that I would upgrade..Thoughts..?
P.S. Sorry for the rant..

Using Bootcamp, you will be able to play any games which currently run under Windows XP. The MacBook should run the less intensive games quite well. The Sims 2 should run okay. There is a Mac version, but you'd have to pay for it. It will run under Windows.
Remember that the MacBook has no video acceleration, so it's game performance is somewhat limited.
Also, the processor speed (GHz) cannot be upgraded easily, if at all... The Hard Drive can be upgraded fairly easily in the MacBooks. There are tutorials online to do this, and I'm sure you could pay an Apple Ceritifed Technician to do it for you as well.
The MacBook appears to me as though it will be better than what you have now. If you are pleased with the performance of the above games on your current computer, you'll love them on the MacBook.
Also, do yourself a favor and make sure you get at least 1 GB of RAM.

The MacBook does have video acceleration, but it's a low-end graphics chip.

Yeah..well sadly Im going to have to go with the lower end graphics chip because Im low on money and Im going to need a replacement. Hm..I might just get the 2.0GHz then if it is hard to upgrade. For an extra 300 or 400 bucks (i forget) it might just be worth it rather than to fuss with it later..Thanks for your help!

167Mhz is not worth $300-400... you're better off upgrading the RAM to 2x1GB.
