will doom 3 run on a midranged(2.16, 256vram) MBP well? and how high of settings can you use for detail? im clueless w/vram, i know it has enough memory but is the card powerfull enough?

Yeah, very well. It runs OK on my Powerbook with a slightly overclocked GPU. I get about 20fps on average. I have the settings on High, I think the resolution is 1024x768.

Runs very well on mine. You can put the settings on high or highest and it will still run well! It gets even higher fps if you boot into windows though. I think it got around 80fps on the timedemo on medium settings.
