Had it a few months, a wonderful machine.

But as of the past few weeks, it's just generally slower. I haven't installed any new programs, or done anything werid to it.

BUt now I get the spinning world icon wayyyyyyyyyy too often, and for too long.

I want to buy more ram, as this can only help. But why the (semi) sudden change in performance?

Do you get the beachball of Death only on certain apps? It may be that an app has updated incorrecty??

Can you think of anything you have changed on the MB as of late???

I have a feeling that the underlined portion might have a LOT to do with it. You need to upgrade. 1 GB is bare minimum...2 GB is my advice. My friend's MacBook did not run well with 512 MB at all.

Geofries,

Did you open utilities/activity monitor to see what's getting all that memory???

Do so for a couple of days and you will se if you need extra memory for now.
