Are they both Intel macs? I couldn't get X11 for my Intel iMac as Apple stopped bundling it with OS disks. I had to download the source from the developer site and compile it myself, and even then I had to manually make aliases to get certain things working.

You could just try NeoOffice as it's pretty much the same thing, Intel native, and runs without X11.

I thought X11 was on the OS disks. Isn't it buried in the extras on the restore disks?

Yeah. It must be because I have it on my Intel iMac and I didn't download it.

I Apple did not automatically load it in the os, it was a option on restore disk.
But is it on the Macbook restore disk?

Hi,

X11 is on your OS disc. have a browse and find it and you can simply install it from there

If you cant find it then you may try download it from the apple website:
http://www.apple.com/downloads/macos...formacosx.html

regards,

rob.
