Sorry for sounding newbish with the question. First post, so be gentle.

I'm in the market for a Mac, and it's either do something with a MacPro or max out a 24" iMac. I've got my eye on a nice 22" Samsung that works fine, has a great picture, so the display side of this is covered. No, it's not 24" but then again the iMac doesn't offer expansion like the MacPro.

I've been reading forum postings, threads, other forums, Apple's Discussion forums, etc etc ad nauseum and I can't find an answer to this question:

There is an option when ordering a MacPro to get 2 7300GT cards in it, but I can find no mention of this being SLI-capable or they're just selling you two cards hoping you'll attach a display to each for standard dual monitor support.

So, if anyone vastly more knowledgeable than I - a recent convert from PCs to Macs for the best of both worlds - I would eternally appreciate the information.

Thanks, and have a great weekend, people...

You should probably try the Mac Pro forum. This is MacBook Pro. Knowing Apple, it's probably not SLI, but stranger things have happened.

Neither OSX, nor the chipset in the Mac Pro, support SLI. Multiple video cards are just for multiple monitors.
