Hi soulboy,

I reckon you may have greater luck posting in the 'MacOSX' or 'Applications' forum... the guys that lurk around there are probably more interested in software than the hardware issues in this section and likely can help you more

But anyway... I have noticed this happen a few times on my mbp, but not only with java... I dont believe that it is my computer as the problem with a webpage dissapears after a while. It could be the fault of the webpage you are loading... like when they update their pages the webpage designer may have screwed something up and then realises an error and then fixes it lol....

It could also be Safari's compatability with certain webpages... Make sure you have all the software updates too... some issues may have been fixed in safari or in java.

Does it work for any other page?

thats all i can offer im afraid...

cheers,
rob.

well I'm a java programmer at Carnegie Mellon............... but errors like that tend to come when you compile a program, not visiting someone elses work. Is the latest version of Java installed on the machine? ((perhaps they reinstalled OS X and didn't apply the updates, etc))

First I'd touch base with the shop that repaired the computer to see what it was they did. If you never had problems before the repair and do now, it points to something they did-like not reloading the OS properly, for example. I concur with mrplow's statement that the shop may not have updated OS X after reinstalling. The problem showed up after they touched your computer-have them look at it.

Further questions about Java should indeed go in either the OS X or Applications forums, depending on how you look at it. THIS one seems cut and dried-get the shop to fix it.
