Anyone had any luck -- or unmitigated disasters -- using Samsung drives to upraded the stock drive in a MacBook? Fujitsu 100GBs aren't so expensive, but the 120s are. And the Samsung 120GB seems substantially less than the Seagate SATA 120GB, even at online prices.

But of course I'd rather pay now than pay later, if you know what I mean.

I've been using a Samsung 5400RPM 120GB drive in my MacBook for about two weeks and everything is fine so far. Heat and noise don't seem to be any higher than the stock 60GB.

I got a Hitachi 100gig, died about a month after I got it, RMA'd it for a replacement through NewEgg. Its a bit noisy compared to the OEM Segate. Don't get a drive with less than a 3 year warranty, shoot for 5 years if you can, like the Segate drives have. Trust me. I go through alot of drives and one year drives almost always die a month or two after they are out of warranty.
