iBook Clam - won't boot from CD

I have an old clam shell iBook that was net booted at a school. I was trying to boot from CD to load linux but I can't. Can I? It has OS 9, I tried Cmd opt shif delete and I tried holding c key.

Or how can I just erase the hard drive, to load up sys 9?
