Hey, I'm just wondering if anyone knows, I've read that it's best to have matching pairs of RAM in your MacBook, something about the GMA 950 working best that way or something. Anyway I had a friend in dorm who wants to upgrade his RAM ask if I think it'd be better to upgrade with 1 gig and 1 256 stick, or if it'd perform better with two 512s. I just wonder if the extra 256 might make it faster, or if the penalty with the graphics card is going to make it worse. Anyone know?

Depends what you're doing...

Games? 2x512 to keep the graphics performance up.
General usage that isn't GPU intensive? 1024+256 for capacity.
