Hi.........! I'm a newb! haha
I need to use my laptop and a projector for a project on my school but I can't make it work..
So I have a macbook and i bought this
http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPL....8.25.7.11.6.3
So I could kill two birds of one shot, using it for displaying at my home tv and for the video in of the projerctor..
But I doesn't work not in the tv nor in the projector....!I don't know why!
I connect it ( MB turn off) and connect it to the tv or projector the turn on the MB but It doesn't work I press FN+ F7 but the only thin that does it changing the size of my open windows..........what I'm doing wrong!
I need it working by today!:S

The link doesn't work but I assume its the mini DVI to either VGA or DVI?
It should work automatically, mine detected my external display with no problem, I haven't tried a projector though.

a) I've never turned off a Mac to connect or disconnect an external display (well, at least not anything younger than about eight years) - it's not necessary.
b) Fn+F7? Unless you've explicitly changed the default settings for the function keys, just hitting F7 should do it. Otherwise, go into System Preferences --> Displays and hit "Detect displays".
If you have the monitor dingbat showing on your menu bar, you can also select "detect displays" from there.

NTSC or PAL? Make sure it's set correctly in Displays preferences.

Displays preferences are in the System Preferences or the Displays menu in the menubar (if you've enabled it in Displays preferences).
