For about a week, whenever the computer work from sleep or was turned on, the DVD player would make some weird noises and try to eject three times (even though there was no disk inside). Thinkint the PCU was screwed up, I unplugged it, took out the battery and held down the power button for more than 5 seconds, but it still showed the symptoms after restart.

I tried to insert a DVD. The only way to do this was to wake it from sleep and wait for the ejection noises and then put the DVD in. Probably not a good idea, but I did it anyway.

Now it attempts to eject the DVD but cannot.

Any ideas? I'm going to take it to the Apple store today.
