Ever since I've upgraded to 10.4.8, I've noticed that at times when I resume my MBP from sleep, the screen resolution changes to 800x600. I then have to go to Preferences and click the Detect Displays to bring it back to the native resolution.

Anybody else noticing this?

Thanks

At least I've found someone with the same problem ! I sometimes land in 320x200 or 13XX x 900 (black stripes on the left and right sides of the screen).

Anyway, just to check something: do you use Parallels? I've noticed that the problem is more likely to happen when I've used Parallels since the last reboot (and Parallels is the only application on my Mac that fiddles with the screen resolution).

More generally, sleep does not work very well since the 10.4.8 upgrade - sometimes, waking up takes a long time (up to 10s), the screen remains blue or black for this time. Also, I sometimes close the lid and the MBP refuses to sleep

I do have Parallels installed and I will try to notice if this behavious happens after running Parallels.

Waking up is usually ok for me- not as fast as 10.4.7 which was almost instant but its still good enough (2-3 seconds)

Someone got the problem fixed by changing his Main Logic Board (MLB). I'd rather wait for the next system update and hope that they'll fix the problem.
