Here is the question. Can i swap my combo drive in my g4 iBook with a SuperDrive in a G5 iMac? The labor part is not a problem i have been in both many times. But i cannot remember if they drives are the same footprint.

Could someone please answer this for me?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah since they're both slot load, laptop drives, it should fit, and should work. Never tried myself though.
iBook G4 12.1" 1280MB 30GB(soon to be 100) 1.2Ghz. First Mac, had for 1.5 years, loving it.
