I got a Macbook Pro about two months ago before going away to college and have been having trouble with my superdrive. Sometimes it accepts the disc (after making tons of scratchy, bad sounding noise) and sometimes it spits the disc back out after about a minute of so of said noise. Any suggestions? There is'nt an Apple store around here, so i would have to make quite a trip to get a "Genius" to look at it.
thanks

This weekend I took it into the Mac store on campus and they told me that i had a Superdrive failure. They ordered me another one, covered by warranty of course, and said they would call me when it gets in so they can replace it. Kind of a pain in the ass, but at least theyre dealing with it nicely.

At least they didn't say you had to send the laptop in...
