Avoid San Francisco Stonestown Apple Store at all costs. They do shitty repair work. I brought my machine in to get my keyboard replaced and here is the new one doing the disco when adjusting my keyboard illumination.

This is such BS, and worse, i went back showed them what happened and the guy told me to send it in to AppleCare.

Go to the store and ask to speak with the manager. Explain calmly what happened, do a little demo of the effect and ask for proper repair job. Be polite, but firm. If he does not offer an apology and a quick solution tell him that you will report this incident to Apple. And then do it. Right up a detailed report (names, places, dates) and send it to Apple's customer relations. You might as well send a copy to sjobs@apple.com. In the past Apple has gotten stores to shape up. Sometimes you're just the unlucky guy. Hope all goes well.

It's defective. Get it fixed... again. This is unacceptible. Tell him you had a seizure because of it and you might sue.
