(I posted this to the Apple discussions forum as well, but I thought perhaps someone on MacNN had seen this).
I left my MBP running. I came back around 2pm to find the screensaver had hung at 12:30 (it's a clock screensaver).
My MBP was locked and couldn't recover. I rebooted it and took a look at the system.log to see what the issue was.
It looks like when the MBP crashed it started writing garbage to system.log. I've posted it below. Has anyone seen anything like it before?
It shouldn't be a heat crash, I was running smcFanControl which kept the MBP at a nice 40 degrees or so.
