I think he wants to know what kind of hard drive to use...

I can't really offer any recommendations but advice:

-You have to get a Serial-ATA hard drive for the MacBook.
-7200rpm is best - a bit more expensive but worth it for the speed.

Just get one from the major brands e.g. Hitachi, Maxtor, Seagate, or whatever.
iBook G4 12.1" 1280MB 30GB(soon to be 100) 1.2Ghz. First Mac, had for 1.5 years, loving it.

I'd argue the 5400rpm models are better, they are a *bit* slower but they draw much less power and produce a lot less heat.

All glory to the hypnotoad.

Thanks for your info.
It all helped, especially the round-up
I think I shall go for a 120 G b one, which will cost around £85.
Seagate with 5 year warrenty.

Sorry, I was concentrating so hard when I first wrote in, I forgot to include the vital words "hard drive".
Anyway, thanks very much for your responses. Much appreciated.
