I'm still rolling with the stock 512mb of RAM. I can start to feel how it is the crutch of the MacBook. I would like to upgrade to 2gb but I think it may be too expensive for me right now.

Where did everyone get their RAM upgrades from? What are the best brands? How do other brands compare to Apple RAM?

Hopefully there will be some sales on around Christmas time so I would like to know what I should get for then

i went to Fry's and got a Patriot 2gb kit for $212.99... My reasoning was that if it didn't work, or if something goes wrong I can just take it back to them without having to mess with RMAs, etc. from online retailers. Of course, not everyone is lucky enough to live by a Fry's


So far, the Patriot RAM is flawless...

That's pretty good for a retail store. How would Patriot RAM compare to Apple RAM?
