Has anybody called Apple about a possible exchange for the Core 2 Duo Macbook Pro's who bought a Macbook Pro about one-two months ago? If so what did they say. I think they should offer an exchange for it for the difference in price. Seems fair to me

People say this every time a new model comes out. Apple won't do it. They'd be in a bad position if they did - technology changes very rapidly these days, they can't afford to upgrade everyone for free and make a decent profit at the same time.

Free? Ha ha ha.... They couldn't run a profitable business if they were even to let you exchange it for the difference in price. I remember two months ago, and everyone on these MacBook Pro boards was aware that the Core2Duo (Merom) chip was going to be added to the MacBook Pro models in a short time. For some reason you figured you could live with out the upgrade when you purchased your laptop, so I suggest you do just that.

The only option you have is to eBay/sell your laptop and put that money towards a new model. A somewhat expensive proposition.

Agreed, why does every newbie get his feeelings hurt when a new revision comes out and then feels entitled to a free upgrade from Apple for a product purchased 30-60 days ago?
