ok, so I just bought a used macbook pro, one of the 1.83GHz models when the macbook pro first came out. So it had the oldest firmware I believe, and the previous owner did not update the firmware.
So before I performed an erase and install, I downloaded the mirror widget, added then removed it from dashboard, and the buzzing sound was gone. So on the oldest firmware, the mirror widget add/remove did remove the buzzing sound.
So then I decided to do an erase and install, just to get a fresh install.
After doing all the software updates, I didn't realize it was also installing the latest firmware.
Now with the latest firmware, the mirror widget does not do the trick, the buzzing is still there even after I add/remove the mirror widget.
Any ideas how I can get ride of this buzzing sound, or rollback to the earliest firmware?

Firmware won't fix the problem. The logic board needs replacement. Apple will do this if you contact them.

I read on another thread that apple support has a system that will let you go back to the orginal firmware, but I can 't find any systems on the apple support page.

No you can't. Just call Apple. They will ship you a box to have the computer shipped in for repair and it's well worth it.
