Hello there, I was wondering if anyone could help with something:
My mother has a G3 iBook that's a few years old - it has always been flakey - the logic board had to be replaced at least once.
a couple of days ago it locked-up while waking from sleep and was force-shut-down by pressing the power button for five seconds.
Since then it appears to be dead - the power button doesn't do anything - no noises of activity as if it were trying to start-up - nothing. The button doesn't feel different (i.e. I don't think that the button mechanically failed.)
I've tried resetting the power manager, but to no avail. I suspect it's finally died.
Has anyone seen symptoms like this before?
