Hi All

Have had an iBook G4 now for 10 months. No major issues. It fell about a week and a half or so ago and the screen broke near the hinge. No damage to the LCD and the system worked fine even with the screen intestines near the hinge hanging out.

Now to the real issue. A couple days ago the system simply shut down while in use. The screens in Safari got dim and shadowy then the pc simply rebooted. Only thing is went straight into Darwin BSD.

I managed after a day or so to figure out my login was case sensitive but when I type in exit at the prompt it just takes me to the blue screen with the cursor.

There is a DVD in my drive and I can't get it out either to try to reload system software (which I have missplaced!!)

Am I screwed as badly as I feel?? Can someone help me? I know nothing about UNix being a Windows man for years so need help with commands.

I believe my disk space was running low as well as I had just copied some pictures to the hard disk minutes before the crash!!

Help me, please!
