Newbie here and know that you all are tired of RAM questions but I am new to the whole Mac notebook scene and need some advice. My question is what type of RAM exactly does my Macbook take. Its the base model. I know newegg is always good but I dont know what type to get at all. Preferably I think I need 1 gig but any other help (specific brand) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

That ram looks pretty good for the money. I was thinking about taking my macbook to 1 gig of ram, dang little thing runs pretty good on 512 though for my needs. Macbooks rock

Definately go for the 1g, especially if you're still using non-universal apps.

I am assuming there are 2 256's in there.. so would 512+256 be efficient or should I go with the 256+1 gig?
edit: thanks for the help. Gonna go ahead and buy this shortly. Patriot 1GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM Notebook Memory - Retail at Newegg.com
