I ordered the new laptop at 10 AM EDT on the day they were released. The first delivery date was quoted as Nov. 2 or sooner. As of today there was no shipment and the new time is posted as Nov. 28. Interesing:

2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
3GB 667 DDR2 SDRAM-1x2GB,1x1GB
120GB Serial ATA Drive@5400rpm
SuperDrive 6X
15" Widescreen Display
Apple USB Modem
BkLit Keyboard/Mac OS
Country Kit

I wonder what is going on.

For both of you guys there's 10 Apple Retail Store locations is Florida and 3 in Tennesee. Why not drive to your local store and buy one otherwise you are basically waiting until December to receive your computer. Keep in mind your shipping date does not mean it's shipped to you on those dates, it means it will ship from the factory on those dates. It may take up to another week after the ship date before you get it.

hldan:
Yeah, I pass an Apple Store every day on my way to and from work, and my friend is the manager there. But :
1) This is being purchased by my employer (education) and is therefore tax free.
2) I really need the extra hard drive space, so I'm going with the 160gb drive.

So I'm stuck with the wait, unfortunately.
