My PB G4 has not been able to burn a dvd since last week. I have tried 2 different kinds of disc and burning via itunes and the finder. I just get an error message saying that the data could not be burned!!
Does this mean no more dvd burning? I'd be VERY unhappy the PB is less that 2 years old.
try to blow some compress air inside the drive and see if it help, but more then likely u will need a new drive, perhaps a external burner which will be much faster
I was a fool not to take out applecare with this PB - lesson learned. However the whole point of having a lap[top is to have such things as dvd burning on the move and when I travel. No point buying an external as I can just use the iMac in the office. It is very dissappointing to have it go after not even 2 years of use. Now harder to sell as well.
