I seem to be having a problem with my mom's iBook G4. I have a MacBook Pro and haven't had this occur, so I thought I'd ask you guys. She is using an internet connection through a Linksys router. After closing the computer to put it to sleep, she loses the internet connection. You can't even put your cursor near the internet connect icon...it is just spinning. You can do other things, just not get any connection at all.

In addition, it seems as though the clock stops telling time as well. It will just stay on the time that you closed the lid of the computer. I've tried updating the software, checking the network, force quitting internet connection, nothing works unless you manually restart the computer with the power button.

Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks.

Yes, it's a wireless connection. Why wouldn't I check the internet connection? Isn't that where you can look at how many "bars" you have and you can change the airport server? I thought that I was doing that part right.

I was just curious... Most of the time I just use the airport menu in the menu bar.
