If you can decipher the subject line, thanks. A quick question for Hard Drive guys out there:
I'm getting a new MBP C2D with a 160GB hard drive. I want to move my current PB contents (assume about 58GB of data), my music collection from an external HD (61GB) and WoW (6GB) onto the new MBP. Assuming about 149GB actual free space free on a "160GB" drive, will that leave me with enough free space for swap files, etc. and not take a performance hit? Or should I leave some things on the external drive? It will be about 24GB free, I think.
Thanks very much. I get my MBP on Monday, hopefully. I'm in Beirutu, Lebanon and everything is expensive and slow here. I have to pay about $700 in VAT on top of the $2599 I already spent on the computer. Lord.
