My MacBook still has the 512mb from purchase, and I want to upgrade to 2gig (1gx2). What's the cheapest yet reliable source that you know of?

If you are a student, Mushkin offers an academic discount. I would go with either Mushkin or Crucial and wouldn't trust anything else.

Compusa is pretty good. They gave me OMNI....who's an Apple authorized maker for them. Look them up online.

Not trying to hijack this thread, but would it be smarter to buy the lowest end macbook model and then upgrade the ram to 2 gb yourself, or should I just get it with 2 gigs when I buy it.
