I was just wanting to know how to fix dead pixels. The problem that I have with my mac is that there's two strait lines of dead pixels going across the top of my screen. I was just wanting to know if there was away to fix this problem with out buying a new screen. Could you please help. Thatnks.

For pixel problems like that, Apple needs to service it.

Don't rub the dead pixel, despite what some people say. It only makes things worse.

I'm not so sure - I've rubbed one dead pixel that was developing on my monitor, and it hasn't come back for a good couple of weeks.

Really? Hmm. I've never tried it myself, I just know that's one thing Apple stresses it's technicians never do. Congrats that it worked though!

The color doesn't matter

The colour doesn't matter, but it's dead if it shows up on a white background, and stuck if it shows up on a black background.
