i dunno but i think the base mbp looks good for my needs.

but the real reason for getting it is its price and at scotlands apple only shop 'scotsys' i can get it on contract for £180 a month for 6 months. Is this a good deal?????

im only young and my sallary is my pocket money so i will need to get a job.

but ive got a mountain of stuff worth £500+ so that ought to pay a big bit of it.

so is the spec of it good and will it have any of the usual problems normally found happening to the mbp??

so anyways

thanks

Hi, in order to completely answer your questions we need a little help with the price. I think you are speaking in terms of euros? If I'm wrong don't blast me, I'm just guessing. It's important to know that many, many people on this forum live in the U.S. and it's much easier to answer your question if you convert the price into U.S dollars and tell us the base price.
In terms of needing any extras, I would recommend to max out the ram if you can afford it. If not the 1GB ram is fine for starters. A back up external hard drive would be great especially when Leopard arrives.
I don't know how much longer it will be before Microsoft releases the new UB version of Office for Mac so see if you can get Office for the cheapest possible. Get the Student/Teacher edition.

Those are British pounds. His contract is for $356.13 a month, and he's got $989.25+ worth of stuff. Unit Converter in Dashboard is quite handy.

US$356 per month for 6 months seems about right to me, especially since folks from the 'Isles usually pay higher.

Common we cannot answer to whether or not a MBP meets your needs without knowing what the needs are...
