I want to change my name on my MacBook pro, does anyone know how to do this?

This really isn't MBP specific, but the Help menu in the Finder or System Preferences really can help you out here. Look up information about accounts.

Alright, I made a new account. But how do I move things over? I think my original account still is the Home folder, and the folders are restricted from access by my other accounts.

I'm just asking questions while trouble-shooting on my own here. I've used macs, but I'm not familiar with the way they are set up on the sweet insides. Anyways, I found the public drop box.
