I have a MacBook Pro running OS 10.4.8 and am having some trouble viewing folders on an external hard disk drive.

On this Mac I've created several user accounts one being administrator, a regular account with administrative privileges, and a guest account. For some odd reason I cannot view a folder on my external drive with my regular account. I can however view it when I'm logged in as administrator.

What can I do to give my regular account the privileges needed to view this folder? Is there a way to allow both accounts the rights to share this folder?

Go into you admin account, click on the exteral drive and select File > Get Info. Under Ownership and Permissions, you ought to be able to give access to other accounts.

put the folders in the "shared" folder.
