Circuit City ranks the black one with the same specs as the white one better? Does anybody know why the black one would be better? Is does not only get higher score for looks it gets a higher score for performance and features. Apple and other Notebook Computers at circuitcity.com

Go here and halfway down the screen click on the "Compare Specs" button/link. Then you'll see a chart showing the minor differences.

Basically it's just the stock hard drive size that differs (aside from the color of the machine).

For an extra $200, you get a black case and an extra 40 GBs of space on the internal hard drive.

For $200, you can get an external 250 GB USB 2/Firewire hard drive to complement the white MacBook.

$110 will get you a 250G drive with a FW/USB enclosure; $200 will get you about 400GB, or ten times the space of the internal drive difference.

Or $200 will get you a 160 GB notebook drive that can be installed in 5 minutes in the MacBook plus an enclosure for the 80 GB drive you just removed.

It depends I know that some people brought the black one because of the discoloration on the white.

When I went to visit my mom and dad one day, my mom was using contact paper to line up her kitchen countertops. That gave me an idea.

At the local hardware store, there were many different patterns ranging from marble to a woody grain texture and everything in between. So I bought a roll of contact paper and cut it into a square that fit the palm rests. It's easily removable so I can always replace it later.

So far so good....
