I'm thinking of getting a protective layer for my MB. This material is quite similar to the layer wrapped around the AC power cord when I first got my MB. It's like a sticker or a transparent cover that protects MB from those scratches that are only visible under white light.

Question:
1. Is it advisable?
2. Should I clean off the initial scratches first before sticking this layer on?
3. Should i do the same for my trackpad and wrist rest(keyboard)

I'm concern about the heat that it may overheat or something like that.

Have your say.

The only way it could overheat is if you covered a vent. Doesn't sound like a bad idea to me, if you're so inclined to do it.
