whenever using the mouse button or even when there is a mouse plugged in when you click on things nothing happens untill you click it many more times.

is there something i can do to fix the problem?

Please tell me you've tried more than one mouse... From your description it's not clear whether you're talking about one or more than one (and I'm not 100% sure you're not talking about the trackpad button, either).

A mouse problem is most commonly IN the mouse.

sorry its the trackpad button is unusable

and i have tried 3 logitech mice and 1 microsoft 1 to no eval

Go to your System Preferences, then 'Keyboard & Mouse', then 'Trackpad' and unclick 'Ignore trackpad when mouse is present'
