I'm a having a problem with ripping cd's into itunes. I just returned from the apple store and they indicated that my problem has something to do with software I have loaded. Is there anything with terminal or a program that I can download that will indicate what programs are using RAM? When I attempt to import cd's the speed is at 0.2 times. Way too slow (should be about 5 to 6 times with my ibook g4 1.3). When I log in with another user name the process is okay. Thanks for your help and happy holidays.

Must be something you've installed...go to Applications/Utilities/Activity Monitor, then sort by either real memory or CPU. Something is dragging you down!
MacBook 2.0 160/2GB/SuperDrive
Lots of older Macs

Could be a corrupt file. Try taking screen shots or something
