I was going through my 'stuff' this week and came on to my old faithful "the brick" the PowerBook 520c. I fired it up after recharging the dual battery and rediscovered how good a laptop made by macintosh/apple has been. The os is 7.5 and one of the software I had installed was claris 3.0. It still holds my better half Phd dissertation in it entirety. My then 4 yo daughter, now 17, her attempt at writing a school gossip column. I can still play the old Frogger, tetris, mac break out and my other stuff without worry. Os 7.5 has indeed been a high point of mac developemnet. Stable, require very little memory, complete in it's entirety manifested best in the 520c.
Now my bh pound through her teaching assignment as a nursing Prof on a PM g4 DP 1.7 ghz and my daughter race through her thousands of worded assigments on her Pb g4 1.5 ghz summiting them through the internet while I reminisce this through my pismo life is indeed made better for us by Apple continuing innovation. I know that 10 years from now I will be able to fire up my 520c, Pismo, PB 17" and Mac book pro and still be awestriken to see that they all still work with the memory of a life time recorded faithfully. I wonder how many PC owner can claim that kind of memory? Merry Christmas everyone and a Happy New Year.
It's "Brewed" not "Juiced"
