I want a macbook, but don't want one to scorch my lap. Is it true the core 2 duos run a lot cooler than the original core duo? I want to buy a refurb for financial reasons, as I am low on money due to spending it all for Christmas.

I would like to spend around 800 - 1000 on the macbook, would prefer a superdrive but it isn't necessary. I'd need minimum 80 gig hd and prefer 1 gig of ram. also I'd be selling a G4 800 256 mb ram combo drive airport card, any idea of what this may be worth? I probably won't be purchasing until tax refund tim, March maybe, so I assume they'll have refurb core duos by that time?
