I've had the MB for about 2 weeks. almost right out of the box I've had the issue where, in any app, ever minute or 2 I get the spinning wheel that lasts for up to 2-5min. While spinning, I cannot open/close ANY other apps, clt-option-esc takes forever to respond, if it does at all, and sometimes everything freezes. To add to all this, I cannot wake it out of sleep mode (either my pressing a key or opening the lid), I have to hard boot everytime. Plus, the battery only holds a pwr for about 2 hrs (on a good day)
What I have done:
reset PRAM = help for about 1/2 a day
reset to factory default = didn't do a thing
reinstalled fresh OS (again had to do PRAM and factory resets) = worked great for a day and a half
used the tool deluxe program = everything checks out as fine
calibrated battery = not much of a change. Will sometimes read as 9hrs, 5hrs and mostly at 3hrs
took it to work with me to run full test, all checked out. But when I had the Airport turned off I didn't have any issues, apps didn't hang or did for only about a second, I could wake out of sleep mode with no issue. So, I have narrowed it down to the Airport causing the issue, but not sure how/what/why it's affecting the rest of the system. Any advice?
Also, I hear the Safari can hog a lot of RAM, as does FireFox; any reconmendations on other browsers?
