I have been having a few problems with my Powerbook G4 1.67GHz HiRes 1.5Gb RAM 120GB HD running 10.4.8

It has been crashing when I connect the DVI plug of my 20 inch cinema display.

I have been scratching my head for weeks as to the cause but seem to have it narrowed down to the keyboard backlight being on when I connect the screen.

So...

Keyboard backlight on + Connect Screen = Black screen on BOTH screens and when playing music the track continues to the end then iTunes falls silent.

Any ideas? I have tried most stuff...

Fortunately I now know what is causing it I can work round it.

Thanks
David.
