I want to save an analogue voice clip from an audio casstee onto the macbook hard disk. There are two audio jacks on the macbook. Im guessing one is for a microphone. Is it?

What software would I need to do this?

The audio input it the one on the left nearest the usb ports... not the one with the heaphone pic above it.

You can use garage band, but there are others such as Audacity
