With the new series of prison break and lost arriving in the next few weeks. I NEED to know if the macbook has a video input on it?

I want to connect my tv to it somehow and record the tv i am sending in.

Is it possible an how would I do it?

No, it doesn't.

Buy an Elgato or Miglia TV tuner.

I have a sky subscription. Recieves through satalite and goes into a sky box and then can be outputted in scart.

Ripping a TV show is no different than downloading it, so why not download the shows instead? It's essentially the same thing, except you get better quality downloading them.

I want them in a higher resolution of what they are downloaded. Also I want it for other TV shows that you cant find on download

Oh, sky is a satellite TV service?

The Elgato FAQ says: Sky is a proprietary system that only supports its own encryption system and set-top box. If you would like to watch Sky with EyeTV, you can connect EyeTV 250/EyeTV Wonder USB 2.0/EyeTV EZ/EyeTV USB to your Sky set-top box. Channels on your Sky set-top box cannot be changed automatically using EyeTV, therefore you must ensure that the cable/satellite box is tuned to the channel you wish to record.
