Hi! I am in DESPERATE help from professional mac users!
I recently bought a used powerbook g4 running os 10.4 and everytime I use the internet, my whole system freezes. Nothing works, cursor stops, keyboard doesn't function, nothing. I have to manually shut down my powerbook and reboot.
I thought there was a software issue, so I did a clean erase and install of the os and the problem doesn't go away. I use both safari and firefox and they both crash on certain sites, ie: shutterfly, youtube, abc, target, walmart, myspace, etc. I use gmail and kodakgallery ok.
I can be on the internet for 5 mins. or an hour...it just depends on random sites! I took it in for a diagnostic check and software and hardware came out ok. What could be the problem? I am so lost and confused!!
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME?!!
By the way, already did the disk utility check.
