My 60Gb ibook's HD is almost full and i want to upgrade to maybe a 100 Gb.
All ATA100 notebook's HD fit the ibook? Can I put a 5400rpm HD?
Thanks!!

I just want to know if there are any issues concerning the size of the HD.
i read that some SATA drives doesn't fit in the macbook, so i don't want to buy an HD that doesn't fit my ibook and if there's a problem using a 5400rpm drive because mine is 4200.

I am also going to upgrade my HD in my MacBook, so I have been asking myself the same questions. What will fit - Serial ATA, SATA 6, ATA100 - I am lost.

I love the MacBook, that is all there is to say about it. When you buy yours, I would highly recommend upgrading the memory to 2 GB. Do it yourself and save some cash, the FAQ on Apple's page is illustrated and switching the sticks out is a breeze. My machine runs SOOOOO much faster after I did that.

yeah, i'm planning to do that, i upgraded my ibook to its max RAM and it's running a lot better. I think that 1Gb is the minimum to macbook.
Right now my concern is my HD upgrade, i really need this upgrade...

This should be the best place to look,Accelerate Your Macintosh (Drive Compatibility Database).

The developer notes on apple.com is also very helpful.

However, changing the hard drive on the iBook-line is somewhat difficult.
