Hopefully someone can help me out on this one. My PB G4 12'' has been having classic problems waking up from sleep. I traditionally closed the lid and opened it when I was ready to work again. Recently, once the lid closes I hear repeated attempts by the computer to restart itself. It sounds like the hard drive is trying to kick up. If left alone it basically shuts down. I have to hold the on button for a bit and then start the computer.

Searching the archives I found numerous sleep issues but none with my symptoms except for one kid who had a similar problem. Unfortunately, no one back in 2005 had any ideas. If anyone has ideas, I'd appreciate them. Thanks

After searching endlessly for a solution to a similar problem I think I finally figured it out. My Powerbook would go to sleep normal, then within .5 - 1 hour the sleep light would go off and not come back on. If I opened the lid, no screen. It was still active as I could adjust the sound etc., just no video. I would be forced to power off and restart. After trying a number of things I finally started watching the console logs. It seems the Blue tooth controller was waking my Powerbook while sleeping. After 2-3 times of this happening, the sleep light would just shut off. I turned off blue tooth and it sleeps and awakes fine. Hope this helps.
