I was converting movie files via quicktime on my MBP 2.0 Ghz 2Gb of ram etc etc. I reached a temp of 100C... Seems ridiculous, oh well that is why I have applecare

where did you get this widget and what is called? thanx , oh you might wanna get a fan controller, cause when intel chips get hotter they slow down. so if you turn the fans up you might convert faster.

Was it under a blanket?

Can you check the temp with another app?

Seems unusually high for a centrino laptop... mine starts underclocking itself to maintain 80C.

the widget is called air traffic controll. I think i found it on the apple widget site.

Dude, that's boiling temperature, WATER BOILS AT THAT TEMPERATURE.
